This journal shows off my tiny awesome router which I had to take out of retirement. It also points to an awesome project that helps kids in Africa.
My room mate decided to take the wireless router to BC with him for two weeks. No one in the house knows why, but imagine four guys without internet in the same house meeting in the kitchen trying to figure out what to do. That was us.
Then I realized! I had a tiny pocket router by Linksys that I bought years ago!
Meet the Linksys WRT54GC:

This thing is the size of my fist and packs a punch. It allows for four ports by cable or as many as it can allow by wireless. I was worried that we wouldn't be able to all connect to it due to its size, but the transmission speeds are actually better than it's big blue cousins (you know the ones with the big pointy ears).
As far as I can tell Linksys doesn't make this router anymore. If you want this pocket router you better hit eBay. It's freaking sweet. I even got a signal 10 meters away with my PSP in the backyard.
Aside:
I met with a group of Kilimanjaro climbers today for
Artumas Africa Foundation at
Art Central to show them some gear they need to ascend the largest freestanding mountain on earth. What an awesome cause to help children in Africa!
